Shlomo Mizrahi’s inspiring journey from a troubled youth to a motivational mentor is the heart of the organization. Growing up in a dysfunctional home, Shlomo struggled with addiction and faced numerous challenges. The loss of someone close to him to a drug overdose became a pivotal moment in his life, propelling him to turn his pain into purpose. Determined to make a difference and ensure that no child gets left behind, Shlomo resolved to help others avoid the hardships he had faced.

A few years later, Shlomo met Shmuel Nachman, whose story is equally one of resilience and determination. Raised in a challenging household, Shmuel faced obstacles that pushed him to mature quickly and navigate life's difficulties on his own. Despite the adversity he encountered, Shmuel’s inner strength and determination never wavered. He was driven to rise above his circumstances and find a way forward, determined to make a positive impact in the world.

Inspired by Shlomo’s journey, Shmuel dedicated himself to helping others who had faced similar challenges. Together, they built an organization from the ground up, led by individuals who had personally overcome adversity. Their organization, The Balance, is focused on supporting abandoned, abused, and neglected children and young adults, providing them with the tools and guidance they need to break free from the cycles of hardship they were born into.

As Co-CEOs, Shlomo and Shmuel bring unparalleled passion, empathy, and understanding to The Balance’s mission, creating a supportive community where at-risk youth can heal, grow, and thrive. Their work has already had a transformative impact on hundreds of young lives, providing hope, stability, and a chance for a brighter future.
